Tamron Lens Line

Many DSLR photographers have not yet experienced the full potential of their DSLR. The reason is simple. The majority of today’s popularly priced digital SLR cameras come with a starter lens—often referred to as a kit lens. These lenses, while a fine value, often restrict camera performance. In other words, many of today’s digital SLRs can produce image quality that is substantially greater than the kit lenses with which they are packaged. Tamron optical quality and zoom versatility unleashes untapped DSLR performance. So, whether you opt for Tamron performance in place of a kit lens with a new DSLR purchase, upgrade to a Tamron all-in-one zoom for a DSLR you already own or choose Tamron precision optics to expand your DSLR system, you’ll be equipped to realize more of what your digital SLR can deliver.

Tamron Di lenses are performance optimized for digital SLR cameras featuring larger full frame (36mm x 24mm) sensors or 35mm film SLRs and are usable with DSLRs featuring sensors commonly referred to as APS-C, measuring approximately 24mm x 16mm, as well as larger full frame (36mm x 24mm) sensors and 35mm film SLRs.

Tamron Di II lenses are engineered expressly for digital SLR cameras with image sensors commonly referred to as APS-C, measuring approximately 24mm x 16mm rendering an ideal image circle for APS-C sensors.

Tamron Di III lenses are made exclusively for mirrorless camera systems.
